Salient Information
Truman Smith describes himself as a writer, cartoonist, character designer, and regular designer. He prizes storytelling in design. To him, a great designer must be a great storyteller. To succeed, a brand’s story must coalesce with their image, and that requires deep intrigue and attention to detail. He can use a camera, and he knows when to set it down and listen. Strong narratives cannot thrive without strong communication.
For you academic types, Truman has a BFA in Graphic Design from Michigan State University, along with a minor in Animation & Comics Story Media and Comic Art & Graphic Novels. For everybody else, he’s pleased to announce his foray into Python programming and generative art. Artistically, he’s dabbling digitally with pixel art. When he’s not working on that, he loves to bake, go for runs, and listen to Australian psychedelic rock.
